Experience & Expertise
Initially, I joined Sainsbury’s as a colleague at the Preston store, being transferred to the Salford store when starting university as management viewed me as a valued member within the company. My current position at Sainsbury’s as a Customer Experience Assistant means that I represent my store and the company whilst at work, interacting with thousands of customers each week to improve their shopping experience. Sainsbury’s is a fast pace environment and I am frequently asked by my department manager and store manager to support various roles across the store.
After completing my A Level studies, and before starting university I volunteered at The Orchard foodbank in Garston, Liverpool. The roles I performed included creating a social media presence for the charity, to reach out to companies willing to donate, and for people in need to be aware. I was part of the team that collected donations from local supermarkets and redistributed to people and families who needed support. My time at The Orchard made me more aware of diversity in society by meeting and getting to know individuals from a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
RDC is a company that specialises in Selling; Negotiation; Target Account Management; Large Deal Qualification; and Sales Team Direction, training to large corporate clients.
I initially worked there as Work Experience and was asked to go back to cover holidays in the summer.
I dealt with customers and clients on the phone, scheduling meetings and resolving the issues raised. I frequently worked directly with the managing director, taking briefs, and creating PowerPoint slides and handbooks which would be used with client presentations. I maintained management information and collated and issued weekly reports. I gained valuable administrative experience in an office environment, becoming confident in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
